Introduction to Ableton - Music composition and recording

In this workshop, you will be introduced to Ableton Live, a DAW program for music production, performance, sound design and interactive audio installations. You will be presented with basic concepts in Ableton including midi tracks, audio tracks, scenes, clips, interface navigation and basic audio routing. In addition, we will briefly present Ableton's built-in instruments and sound processing effects. Mathias is an experienced DJ, electronic musician and digital artists who has worked with Ableton in many different settings.

What can you expect
The workshop consists of an introductory presentation, followed by a supervised, open workshop where you have the opportunity to explore and play with Ableton's many possibilities.

It's ideal for those who want to get started with everything from music to podcast production and interactive audio installations.

Bring: a computer with Ableton Live installed (the program costs money, but a free trial version can be downloaded at https://www.ableton.com/en/trial/) as well as headphones + any extra gear (soundcards, synths etc) that you want to use. Keep in mind that the space is small, so noise pollution during the prodcution workshop is expected 🔊
